This is my absolute favorite dessert of LIFE!

It's ridiculously sweet, decadent and packed full of calories - but I refuse to feel guilty about eating a slice (or 3) of it. As far as I know it's a South African treat, and it's no secret that we do it best ;).
Another reason why I love it so much, it's super easy to make, requires no baking, and it takes only a few minutes.

Out of all the recipes on my blog, if you try only one - it should be this one.

You will need:

2 packs of Tennis biscuits (200g each)
250ml Fresh cream
1 can Caramel treat (Nestlé is the best)
2 regular bars of Peppermint Crisp chocolate, or one large slab (grated)

*Whip the cream, make sure it's ice cold, otherwise it won't whip as well. Then add the Caramel and half of the grated chocolate (one bar) and beat together until the cream and caramel are well combined. It will look like this:

*Now, place a layer of biscuits in a square cake pan or Pyrex dish, I just covered my pan with foil because it's old and ugly. I also put a few extra biscuits in my blender and used the crumbs to fill any gaps between the biscuits, but that's optional.

*Then a layer (half) of your cream/caramel mixture goes on top of the biscuit base, and then another layer of biscuits on top of that. (I skipped the crumbs for the second biscuit layer, because they absorb a lot of cream mixture.)

*Now, just add the rest of the cream/caramel mixture, and sprinkle with the left over chocolate.

Refrigerate the tart for at least 2-3 hours, but it's best when you leave it overnight. (although, I can never go to bed without having at least one slice, haha!)
Everyone that tastes this will ask you for the recipe, tell them it's an old family secret and that it took you all day to make ;)

I hope you had a fantastic Monday!
